Dec 7, 2042- Day 78
She started sleeping outside. Well technically. There’s still a sort of dog house to protect herself from wind and any other elements. There’s also a flap she can pull down to protect from all directions. And a fairly soft bed. It’s not a matter of being mean or anything else, but of simple anatomy. The temperature a human finds comfortable in the winter is simply much too high compared to that of a fox with a fully grown winter coat. There are ways she can simply open the door herself if she wanted in.
More concerning is that there seems to be some degree of change that’s starting to really become apparent. She shows no sign of any memory loss and if there’s any personality change I haven’t seen it. But there is still the fact that a fox’s brain is smaller than a humans and her brain is starting to compress.
She still plays her games, she still enjoys her games, but I’ve found that her attention span is on the decline rather rapidly, she’s growing increasingly frustrated at trying to talk coherently and is using simpler words to try and convey her message. She still seems to understand me completely, though. And some of her cognitive tests she’s starting to rapidly deteriorate on.

Yeah, that's probably one of the most unfortunate things about turning into anything smaller than you were. Sure you get to lose a lot of weight, but it doesn't change the fact that your brain will be shrinking. Like even if it keeps as many ridges as a human brain, it's still getting smaller meaning some stuff just has to be lost. Just imagine how much worse it'd be if she was transforming into something even smaller like a mouse
