Prefacing this to say it’s not canon to the Axia campaign; it’s an AU where things went horribly awry in the choices the crew made to get to where they canonically are now. Because we all have Axia brainrot~ c:

SO, that in mind, Thunder is canonically the braincell-holder of the group and notably out of the nobles in the party. She’s always been the one to gently press for her crew’s stories, to build up trust with them, and insisting they’re better than they think they are in the dark hours. Forgetting that they can do the same and that she can trust them to do so.

But what if she didn’t? What if she held them at arm’s length for being marked with Cutter’s brand and cursed tattoo, or for fleeing a terrible darkness at home? Refusing to get too close because of what’s tailing her from her own home? Or letting Neira’s family resemblance cut too far into their friendship? Forgetting, or rejecting, that crewmen under Cutter, loyalist or not, are people too?

What if she’d made the bad choices? Even if for the “right” reasons of protecting her ship and crew?
What if she became the very storm she bent the knee to in dedication to wiping out the evil from the seas?
