Dear Mr. Polis,

It is with great regret that I am issuing this letter of resignation, effective immediately. I am grateful for the opportunity to utilize my skills and develop my abilities under your leadership in this department. For too long, however, have my grievances gone unheeded.
Numerous instances of discrimination, unethical behaviour, and other unwelcoming actions have been delivered toward me over the past few years, which I can no longer tolerate. I have been overlooked on many occasions for advancement in my department when I was objectively the most qualified individual for the promotion. While my compensation and benefits from this position are substantial and well exceed what other opportunities may present me, there is also an issue of family emergency that would have required an indefinite leave of absence.
I am therefore taking this development as reason to simply issue this resignation, rather than request the L.o.A. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to work in your department, and I wish you the best of luck running it in my absence.

um, yeah, there were some red flags in that interview. I'd make sure to get non-refundable sign-on bonus before filling out too much paperwork.

xD I mean, you're not wrong... but from the sounds of how this all goes, there probably isn't going to be alot in the way of legally binding paperwork for her. Laws are a bit harder to enforce out this far from the capital, as it goes.
