Rygone brushed a claw against the worn metal of the gear before him, feeling it shudder as it rotated another half almost imperceptible tick forward. A gauge of something grand or something small, he could never be sure, moving towards an inevitable and repeating conclusion. His paw came away, slightly covered in grimy oil and he felt the briefest of smiles touch his muzzle before he turned to the sundered and displaced gears around him. This was the room whereupon all Decadeons were privy. For they were its caretakers. Shepards to a force that bound everything together in the concept of change. A concept that without the universe would grow still and, in Rygone's opinion, become very boring.

Breathing in a lungful of stale dusty air, the sand upon his tail and ears tickling his senses in their delightful cascading manner, he set himself to work. His only companions the sound of rotation and warm sunlight.

Time had to continue ticking forward. For everyone's sake.
