For each image, I include a brief explanation about the photo underneath (title, species, location).

The unfolded size of the calendar is 11x17inches (11x8.5 folded), so it's a pretty fair size. For each image, I include a brief explanation about the photo underneath (title, species, location). The orientation is landscape so if people choose photos that are portrait-oriented, I will offer a few options which they can choose from that will fit the photo into the landscape format (which usually boils down to resizing with aspect ratio intact or cropping to fill the frame).
If you are interested, you can choose any 12 photos or you can just get a default calendar with pre-selected images. The feedback I've gotten about the calendars is quite favourable and I sold them more than anything else at a bazaar I was a vendor at yesterday. I might be looking into producing mini-calendars for a lower price (something in the area of 8.5x11 unfolded for $10).
