The challenge was to "draw what you think is RJ" which is what this character here is.
There was only a few sentences and a physical description to base the character off of though.
I did my best though. I saw RJ as a free spirited adventurous fellow. Not unfriendly but shy in the sense that he does not like being in large crowds for too long. He likes to get out often.
This Idea came from the "punk/light goth" aspect mentioned. When I think of someone "light goth" This is what I kind of imagine, because the style is not trying to hard. Its not trying to hard to be cool as a intense "different" type (heavy goth). nor is it really "go with the flow". In this way it is more of a middle, He seems like one of the kinds of characters that doesn't try too hard for the social scene, and instead enjoys life for its beauty, thrills (motocross, mentioned) and simplicity. Not saying that he is a recluse, but he has a few close friends and doesn't like to get caught up in drama.
As an example of this attitude, I drew RJ in the Atacama desert feeding a chinchilla. (kind of laid back enough to lure the chinchilla? I guess? This would show a friendly based attitude I didn't particularly mention before)
Seems like something this kind of character would do. Take a light camping trip on a dirt bike for a day to a scenic place no one would think to go to.
Iv been working on this for a few hours a day for the past week or so XP I am so slow at making art. which is why most my art is slightly abstract I guess.
I had a terrible time trying to contrast RJs tail with his hand and the seeds in his hand X(
Also The white spots were hard to do with the intense lighting on his tail.
O ya, RJ belongs to Wolfen 89 and whatever else Im supposed to put here to tell you something about not copy writing.
