I’m not… the most proud of who I am. I’m not out there attending these pride parades that are right next to where I live- and I know that others might desperately wish they could go to that, to have that support right next to them. I just don’t really feel like I need that, y’know? As long as I have my little gay rainbow blanket, I can assure and find comfort in myself. And that’s okay. I’m gay, and I’m okay with that! It’s nice, it’s comfy, it’s cute, it’s me.

Being accepting of who you are is a rough mission. We're always acting as harsh critics of our own thoughts and behaviours, and epochs of evolution as a social species have left us with the presently irrational instinct to judge ourselves as we feel others would judge us. You are valid and awesome as who you are, so to know that about yourself, whether you wear it on your sleeve or keep it close to your chest, is the most important thing. Don't stop being you. <3
