This book turned up at the Book-Off in mid-town Manhattan today, and while it was a bit on the pricey side, I snapped it up immediately, since it covers a subject of great interest to me, to wit, the vanishing of Japanese wolves. I also couldn't resist the cover image, which was from a votive tablet, and shows two adult wolves with some wolf cubs.

If this isn't a book that would pique the curiosity of  Wilford B. Wolf, I'll eat my hat.
