Biography: Wilfreda is one of the numerous 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, her birth happening just after Elysia & Delphi came into the world, so Wilfreda is of the 3rd batch of 1/2 mermaids. Wilfreda is one of a handful considered a family prodigy among the family, having inherited her mother's magical talents, and her father's warrior spirit. Wilfreda always had dreams of being able to go into space, and the stories of the Metroid universe she'd often hear about either from the games themselves, or from tales her father would bring back, only fueled them further & further. While Wilfreda's desire to go into space was well fueled, how she can help was a mystery to her at one point. This changed when her older sisters Dandrenor & Needle both took up being bounty hunters to act as a team. This lead to Wilfreda learning how to best harness her skills with weapons & magic; looking to her parents for assistance. Yet during both sessions for her weapon & magic training, respectively, Wilfreda found a unique talent for materializing weapons at will with a snap of her fingers; summoning a sword, lance, and a bow among other things in addition to being able to use some forms of nature magic as well. To that end, Wilfreda trained mostly on that until she got the magic art perfected, and given her affinity for fixing & building machines, too, this earned her the honorary of being a Technosage; a type of sage that uses magic & science to fight, so befitting the Chozo philosiphy of combining the old ways of magic with the new ways of science. As such, Wilfreda thus earned the right to travel to help fight evil, and explore the vastness of the Metroid universe, enabling her dream of going into space to be made a reality. As is to be expected from anyone in Juni's family, Wilfreda is very friendly & caring to those who she sees as a friend & ally and is quite insightful, too. Even so, she is known to be rather mischievous at times, and can even be persistent. Sometimes at the wrong moments, too. Aside from space travel, she really loves quicksand. As one of the most dedicated mudlarks, Wilfreda does not hesitate to make a beeline for a pit of quicksand the moment she hears, or feels the signs of one present. As a result of this, she is always hoping the planets she & her father & sisters visit have quicksand, and will become displeased if quicksand hotspots are not plentiful. Her dislike of limited quicksand hotspots however, is nothing compared to her dislike of the Space Pirates & their boss Ridley. The greatest genius with magitech.
Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Wilfreda can take on her mermaid form anytime she enters the water so long as it is fresh, or seawater. Like all her other 1/2 mermaid siblings, once in the water, she is a fantastic & fast swimmer; able to outpace the fastest olympic swimmers, and can outmaneuver the fastest of swimming creatures. As her class would imply, Wilfreda is a bona fide Technosage, making use of both weapons, and magic. She is also a master of using magitek, which is machines that use magic as a power source. Making use of several types of magic, one of Wilfreda's main strengths is weapon summoning. With a simple snap of her fingers, Wilfreda always manages to summon the right weapon to use in the matching situation. Her starting gear, and magics are as follows.
Magi Swordstaff: Wilfreda's main weapon. A comfortably light but strong swordstaff, it is imbued with magitek that enables to turn into different polearms when the situation calls for it, like a halberd or a naginata for example. Though she is often seen turning it into a missile launcher in most cases.
Power Shield: Wilfreda's main shield. It's a sizeable shield shield that provides great defense against attacks that would be lethal to Wilfreda. It can be upgraded to Mega, and Giga levels with Giga being the most powerful.
Power Robe: Wilfreda's starting robes. These robes sewn together by her mother Palutena are outfitted with Chozodian armor pieces that give Wilfreda the physical defense she & many other magic users desperately need.
Grapple Module: A module for grappling upgrades. Grapple Swing & Grapple Voltage are present.
Space Jump Boots: These boots allow Wilfreda to perform a double jump. They do not enable her to perform multiple spin jumps however, and they cannot be active while she's in mermaid form.
Aeion Module: This module allows Wilfreda to make use of several Aeion abilities & absorb it from other enemies. It is equipped with the Phantom Cloak, Flash Shift, Lightning Armor, and the Phase Drift.
Magic Materialization: Wilfreda can create objects out of thin air ranging from extra ammo, new clothes, and even perfectly edible & tasty food for restoring health.
Weapon Materialization: An offensive version of Magic Materialization. With a snap of her fingers, she creates a different weapon out of thin air to use should her swordstaff prove insufficient. Weapons summoned include a sword, lance, axe, handgun, shotgun, bow, and even a shoulder cannon.
Varia Shield: Prevents damage from acid & heat.
Pyromancy: The ability to cast fire spells.
Cryomancy: The ability to cast ice spells.
Electromancy: The ability to cast electric spells.
Aeromancy: The ability to cast wind spells.
Holy Magic: The power of light magic.
Sinkomancy: A fun magic that creates sinky substances anywhere at anytime. Also good for defensive purposes.
