There's some loose influence here from Phil Dunlap's short-lived comic strip Ink Pen (see https://www.gocomics.com/inkpen/2022/05/24 ) but not much. Gave a little try at a pot belly and it didn't work but, you know what? I'm trying to do some pieces that I don't overthink.
