Ka'ahkai the Ha'aow - by Isvoc

All-Hollow is a bioluminescent forest that seems to go on endlessly and is home to a vast, diverse range of flora and fauna. One of these creatures are known amongst themselves as the Ha'aowk. They live higher in the canopy, so unlike many of the forest's residents, they actually see the sunlight, fly in the sky, and lack the need for the bioluminescent markings that the aalukri have. The Ha'aowk occupy a niche like a falcon or hawk, snatching small climbing mammals from between the branches of the canopies. Thus, they have a much more carnivorous diet than the aalukri. Matching their predatory diet, they are fierce and proud where the aalukri are timid and skittish. This is despite the fact that they are only half the size. This specimen is a female called Ka'ahkai, pronounced as "Kah-aww-kai". Yes, those close to her are allowed to call her 'Kai'.
