Wanted to do a short story of my Greninja’s growth ability.


Hunter and his brothers Luke & Ren were on their way to compete in the next Pokémon League. They decided to stop and set up camp for the night. “Alright guys I’m gonna set up the tent. You guys go get some sticks for the fire.” He said as the Lucario & Greninja nodded. “I bet I can get more sticks then you, Ren!” Luke said in a teasing tone. “You’re on!” Ren said as the two rushed into the forest. They both jumped into trees and grabbed whatever sticks they can rip off the branches. After a few minutes, the two met up with each other. They both had a large piles of sticks in their arms, Ren had the most than Luke. “Looks like I’ve beat you Luke.” The Greninja said in a teasing tone with grin. “I’ll beat you next time, anyway we should head back. Hunter is probably waiting for us.” The Lucario said as the. he turned and started to walk. Before Ren started to walk, his body was surrounded by a blue aura. “What the?” The Greninja questioned as the blue aura then disappeared. “Something wrong?” Luke asked him. “It’s nothing, my mind is playing tricks on me.” Ren responded as he started to walk. As the two were walking, Luke noticed that Ren seemed to be a bit taller. He shrugged it off thinking that it was just his imagination.

Hunter finally finished setting up the tent right next to the river, now he had to wait for his brothers to get back with the sticks to start a fire. “We’re back!” Luke’s shouted as Hunter looked to his right to see his brothers come out of the forest. Just like Luke, Hunter noticed that Ren appeared to be a bit taller, but he shrugged it off thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him. Ren tossed his pile of sticks into the fire pit while Luke set down his pile in front of him. “Looks like Ren had the most than you Luke.” Hunter said as he took out his lighter. He went to lite the fighter, but he noticed that his lighter wasn’t working. “Seriously? I just bought this before we left town, what a rip off.” Hunter said in frustration. “Here, let me help.” Luke said as he sat down right next to his brother. “If you two don’t mind, I’m gonna go for a little swim for a few minutes” Ren said as he took off his red jacket and walked towards the river. Luke raised his right hand as a blue orb of fire appeared above it. The Lucario gently tossed it into the pit as it the lite. “That’s what I get for having a brother like you that has strange abilities.” Hunter said as Luke chuckled.

Ren put his right foot into the water to how the temperature was, it felt warm. “Perfect.” The Greninja said as with a smile. Before he took another step, Ren started to feel weird as his heart beat intensified. He was then surrounded by the same blue aura from earlier. “Not again…” the Greninja exclaimed as he then started to notice something was off about his surroundings. Everything seemed to getting smaller as he then realized that it was him that was growing. “WHAT THE HECK? HOW AM I GROWING?!” Ren exclaimed as kept growing. Ren’s shadow casted over Luke who noticed. “What did everything get so… d-dark?” The Lucario questioned out loud as he noticed the growing Greninja who’s growth had finally stopped. “H-H-Hun- Hunter…” Luke said as he struggled to get the words out of his mouth while pulling on the back of his brother’s shirt. “What Lu-!!!” Hunter stopped mid sentence as his jaw dropped when he saw how huge Ren was. The Greninja was roughly bigger than the trees that surrounded them. “OH MY GOD!!!” Hunter shouted at the top of his lungs. “How did he get this big?!” Luke question out loud. “I don’t know! This is certainly not Dynamax since he doesn’t have the red clouds floating above his head.” Hunter responded. Ren was trying to process the events that were currently taking place while in shock. He looked up to see if there were any of the Dynamax clouds floating above his head which was not the case. “How did I get this big if I’m not using Dynamax?” The Greninja said as he slowly took a step back, unaware that step was about to crush Hunter & Luke in the process. Hunter pushed Luke out of the way as Ren’s foot came down on him, crushing him the process. Ren felt something on under his right foot as he turned his head to look back. He saw Luke waving both of his hands in the air who was trying to get the giant’s attention. “REN, YOU’RE CRUSHING HUNTER UNDER YOUR FOOT!” The Lucario shouted at the top of his lungs. “WHAT?!” Ren exclaimed in a shock tone as he lifted his right foot to see Hunter was lying in the crater (in a similar pose that Yamcha had when he died in Dragon Ball Z) that the giant had just made. The Greninja was starting sweat bullets after seeing Hunter get crushed by him.

20 minutes went by as Ren had Hunter (who had bandages wrapped around his head and left arm) in his arms as he was hugging him. “I’m so sorry for crushing you, Hunter. I didn’t mean to.” The giant Greninja said in a sad tone with tears in his eyes. “It’s alright Ren, I know it was an accident.” Hunter responded. “Don’t mean to ruin the moment, but is there a way you can shrink back down normal size Ren?” Luke asked out loud. “I don’t think so…” Ren responded as Hunter then thought of something. “I know, try to think of being normal sized.” Hunter said. “Okay, try to think of being normal sized.” The giant Greninja said as he closed his eyes & began thinking of being normal sized. The blue aura from earlier surrounded him again, but he started to shrink. As he shrank back down to normal size, the blue aura disappeared. Ren opened his eyes to see he was back to his normal size. “Hey it worked, I’m back to my normal size.” The Greninja said in a happy tone as he hugged Hunter. “At least be lucky that you weren’t stuck as a giant for the rest of your life.” Luke said. “At least Ren has a new ability he can use against his opponents.” Hunter said. “W-What?” Ren questioned out loud. “Think about it Ren, you just outgrow the other Pokemons that use Dynamax & crush them under your foot. I think you would enjoy that since the last battle we’ve fought you were always getting crushed under their foot.” Hunter said as the Greninja thought about it for a minute. He did want to get some sweet revenge on those Dynamaxed Pokémons for crushing him under their foot. “I’ll keep that in mind when we fight in the next battle.” Ren said with a smirk.
