Actually this comic miniseries is meant to be slightly educational on how "Urbanized Nivieans" deal with the old primal drives. I've vaguely touched on this a couple times in some reference material and other places but I got the idea to make this in order to explore how something chaotic as heat has been made manageable in a close quarters urbanized/modernized world.
I've been taking a little break from my main comic 'New Life' to regather my bearings and to do some writing and planning (along with dealing with some life issues)
Also almost forgot. I've organized my Side Comics into their own folder! So now they can be accessed all in one place without doing a bunch of gallery digging.

Good timing! I'm writing about an anthropomorphic Mare. She's trying to explain to a new Human acquaintance that she goes for months without a problem, but when the sun is high she goes into estrus every three weeks. Imagine PMS in a woman who is 8 feet tall and weighs over 450 pounds...
Sounds disastrous but whoever catches her eye should be glad she doesn't weight as much as a real horse (ever had one step on your foot?.. I'd rather have my foot run over by a car).
At least for nivieans it's "seasonal" meaning once every 3 months with the spring heat being the strongest following the weakest in the winter (the weaker/stronger heat is a recent addition to the lore).

Ooh. That sounds like my Humanimals. They go into heat every 13 weeks. The only difference between their heat and the rest of the time, though, is that the females are a lot more sexually aggressive. They can deal with it if they don't have a significant other or someone that they're interested in but, if they do, "Katy bar the door!" LOL.
