I went and ... complicated life for myself by trying to do a 'taur. In sneakers. This is loosely based on K9, from the Marvin-the-Martian cartoons, and you know, 
techno. does great work with dogtaurs (see https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47080805/ ) and I did less good work.
I like the sneakers-on-forepaws look. I have no explanation for this phenomenon.
