In early 1994, the Wilmington Fire Department held a familiarization briefing at the nearby Brunswick Nuclear Generating Station. During a break in the presentations and tours, the only female firefighter present, a young Utahraptor, met up with a new nuclear engineer fresh from the Navy. They hit it off and promised to keep in touch.
Six months later, Marcus and Lex were out at the beach on a date. Lex had brought a bucket and was collecting some neat conch shells. In the afternoon sun, Marcus saw a great opportunity for a photo.
Said photo resides at his office today.
So this was a fantastic "free" portrait I got from
Ryinn; I spent a little extra on a YCH thanks to some currently shenanigans, and they took it on themselves to throw together a little gift. And what I can say, the result is absolutely stunning.
