Ryle was once your standard Riolu, but life took a very drastic turn shortly into his life. Whereas many Riolu will find themselves capable of evolving after a few years of dedicated training, Ryle found it purely impossible. No matter how much he trained, it seemed like his body was not fit for evolution. No matter how many close bonds he formed, no matter how long and arduous the training sessions were, they never amounted to anything.

Spurned by mother nature herself, Ryle quickly became the joke among his peers and even his siblings. They shunned him and his existence, leaving him alone and forgotten. A Riolu incapable of evolution was worthless and would never amount to anything. This drove him to solitude where he continued to push himself in the desperate desire to prove them all wrong. To prove even Arceus himself could not dictate his life. He honed his body into something unlike any Riolu before had accomplished - focusing on his strength and aura abilities to surpass even Lucario in the skill.

His perseverance prevailed. After years of rigorous training, his mind focusing solely on surpassing everyone he could, he tapped into a source of energy very few Pokemon could attain. Through sheer determination he willed his body to surpass its limits. Light began to pour from his body, a glistening rainbow shimmer surrounding him as he pushed himself more and more. The light swirled around him, almost forming a cocoon-like orb, his form changing and growing beyond recognition within. As the light burst, a new version of Ryle stood. he resembled that of a Mega Lucario, but was still distinctly a Riolu. His power, however, was far surpassing that of a normal Riolu and it was through this that he finally regained the admiration and respect of his peers once more.

His new Mega form at his disposal, Ryle quickly became the center of attention in his hometown. Everyone flocked to see him display feats of strength and skill, the glowing rainbow paw now adorning his back fascinating friend and foe alike. That attention ultimately led to a team of scientists coming to his door, interested in studying just how he managed to secure such an unconventional method of evolution. A Riolu that could mega evolve without a stone or partner was truly a miracle and a scientific breakthrough if they could discover the means to which he had achieved it.

Seeing no ill intent in their cause and curious as to how his body had managed to transform in such a way, he agreed to accompany them. He quickly discovered that the scientists would stop at nothing to get their hands on that power. Their experiments were brutal and their methods far from conventional. They combed through his genetic structure, forming various methods with which to tap into whatever it was that caused the dramatic change in his form. Their experiments left Ryle's genetic makeup fractured and unstable.

Ryle eventually broke free from his captivity, but he no longer resembled the mon he was going in. His body had grown shorter but more muscular as it sought to stabilize itself once more but still it was seemingly malleable and amorphous. Not only could he copy the appearance of others, he could mold his body around them almost as if possessing them.

Despite the potential dangers for such powers, Ryle has sought to enjoy a more peaceful life, enjoying the spoils of his trials and tribulations rather than despising what he has become. he enjoys having fun with his abilities and making friends and allies who push him to better himself and others.
