It's… the middle of the year? When did this happen? I guess it happened after six months of the year rolled by, the problem is that I didn't notice. I couldn't even keep up with a one update per month, ha!

Had a problem with my laptop a few days ago while trying to update it, it just crashed. Tried rebooting it and while it got to the login screen it couldn't go further than that for whatever reason. Fortunately I was able to get into safe mode and from there copy some of the files I didn't want to lose. Then… came the time for a clean wipe.

To be honest I had wanted to wipe my laptop clean for a good while now but the thought of having to reinstall everything made me hesitant. Now it's done and getting everything up and running is as boring as I thought it would be. On the positive side it feels a little more like a new computer (even if it's pushing the eight years) and in one fell swipe I got rid of ALL the trash I didn't know I had. Also good, no more Adobe software!

Still need to install a few things but most things are working as intended. The saddest part was finding that WriteMonkey 3 no longer works. It's the Markdown software I used to write most of my things– yes, I do write fiction but I also used it as general notepad and to write my piece descriptions (like this one). Hopefully my Clip Studio license will work again!
