A lonely babe in the woods
Baby Bucky had a very lonely beginning, his earliest memory was of him waking in the middle of a forest all alone with no family.
He doesn’t quite know how he survived through his infancy, though he vaguely remembers someone taking care of him when he was small.

There are actually multiple timelines, it’s something I use to explain why in some realities, somethings are different while some are exactly the same, but basically Old Bucky only raised his baby self long enough that he would be able to survive on his own, and in some cases, interfered twice in shaping the past, one time was setting up the events that would lead Bucky to accidentally leave the forest and discover the outside world and the 2nd was setting things up so that Bucky would meet with his future wife, Jane Doe.
Other than those things, old Bucky did not interfere much with his younger self’s life, but there are some times where he probably did or didn’t do enough, and times where Bucky simply didn’t make the intended decision despite having all the pieces put in front of him.
So yeah, Bucky exist in an open timeline, but mostly things have stayed consistent so far, with only maybe the number of kids Bucky has changing, or him simply not hooking up with Jane at all.

Her species are fundamentally observers, their shapeshifting, aside from being a by-product of how their species developed, is mostly to observe the native wide life around them.
She only started actively doing stuff for herself after she fell in love with Bucky, because he inspired her to want things for herself rather than just doing what she was born/made to do. She tends to be more logical than emotional, so wanting to go back isn’t something she’d actively consider doing unless maybe it meant saving the planet from imminent destruction, and even still she would be hesitant because her instinct would be to see what would happen next, no malice intended.

Admittedly, a lot of things about Earth confuse Jane at times and still do, she is able to understand things like biology, chemistry, and physics pretty well because they are grounded in facts and logic, but things like emotions, abstract art, and music are pretty new to her, as they aren’t so much grounded in reality, magic is also pretty confusing to her too.
A toon like Bucky is particularly confusing because due to his toony nature, he defies several laws of reality, in fact, the only reason she agreed to go out with initially was to have a valid excuse to study him and experiment on him. However, as time went on, he began inadvertently teaching her about emotions and she began to develop genuine feelings for him. Unable to keep living a lie, she confessed the truth to him, expecting him to break up with her. Though Bucky was understandably shocked and devastated by her deception, he ultimately came to realize that despite her true appearance being different on the outside, that she was still the same on the inside and decided that he still loved her.
Admittedly she still experiments on Bucky, but always with his consent first.

Bucky is a very nice guy overall, he doesn’t mean to cause trouble but it tends to follow him due to his toony reckless nature. Bucky can die, but it depends, for example, he can take a mallet to the head, the damage is more aesthetic and goes away quickly, but definitely heartbreak could kill him, if he probably wants to feel pain/get hurt, then it will most likely happen.
His sons Bu and Kee are definitely part toon/part alien, and because of they have the potential to be god-like, their toony side grants them reality bending and enhanced durability while their alien heritage grants them shapeshifting, flight, and energy absorption/manipulation (similar to Superman’s laser eyes or the Ki blast technique from the Dragonball series).

It’s actually a learning process for both Jane and the boys, Jane was already born knowing how to use her abilities while Bu and Kee have to learn, plus there is the additional factor of their emotions playing a big role in how they master a skill, for example, when learning flight, Bu was super excited and loved it from the start, but Kee was terrified and wanted to come down at once, and thus their first flight was quite a fiasco.
From training the boys as well as from her time with Bucky, Jane surprisingly discovered she developed a new power as well, pathokinesis, the ability project your emotions onto others.

To sum it up, it’s basically the ability to make everyone in her vicinity feel what she’s feeling, if she’s feeling happy, others will automatically cheer up despite whatever just happened to them. If she is angry, people will start arguing with each other and getting into fights, and if she is sad, the people around her begin suffering depression and start randomly sobbing.
As someone who doesn’t express a wide range of emotions facially, also she wears big glasses that cover her eyes, this is an alternate way of indicating how she’s actually feeling in any given situation.
I imagine that after a particularly nice day where she, Bucky, and the twins went out and got ice cream that everyone around them became so happy and loving that they started starting bursting into song like a Disney show/movie.

Later Bucky finds out that he never had parents in the conventional sense, he was actually born a completely normal non-anthro/not toon deer, and was bought from a petting zoo to be experimented on. He was injected in the bottom with a substance called “toon ink” that the testers thought had killed him at first, but it actually had a delayed effect, and was actually successful, turning him into his toon baby form.
Since you commented on the Old (not God Old) pic, you probably understand that the person who he thought was his elderly Dad or Grandpa was actually himself and he raised his baby self in a time loop.
Even after he “left” his younger self, he still watched over him while staying out of sight to make sure he remained safe until he rediscovered the outside world and met Jane Doe.

Actually, I have more than one AU idea!
AU idea #1: Bucky never was injected with toon ink, never got lost in the woods, and live an normal life at the petting zoo.
AU idea #2: Bucky made some friends in the woods.
AU idea #3: After raising his baby self, Old Bucky (not to be confuse with God Old Bucky) uses his time machines to live adventures, across differents time periods (including the future). Don't worry he won't try to rewrite History.
AU idea #4: As Junior, Bu and Kee have a wife (or husband) and kids.
AU idea #5 God Old Bucky and Space Dragon Bu and Kee visit the Earth, once in a while, to see how much it has changed, since their last visit.
I got more ideas, but I'm sure about them.
