I woke up this morning and recoded this.
This is one of the most touching anti war songs ever written. You can find more original versions than mine here being done by Simon and Garfunkel and Luke Kelly:

I'll throw in the cheesy slide show for free.
The sun is burning in the sky
Strands of clouds go slowly drifting by
In the park the lazy bees
Are joining in the flowers, among the trees
And the sun burns in the sky
Now the sun is in the West
Little kids go home to take their rest
And the couples in the park
Are holdin' hands and waitin' for the dark
And the sun is in the West
Now the sun is sinking low
Children playin' know it's time to go
High above a spot appears
A little blossom blooms and then draws near
And the sun is sinking low
Now the sun has come to Earth
Shrouded in a mushroom cloud of death
Death comes in a blinding flash
Of hellish heat and leaves a smear of ash
And the sun has come to Earth
Now the sun has disappeared
All is darkness, anger, pain and fear
Twisted, sightless wrecks of men
Go groping on their knees and cry in pain
And the sun has disappeared

Yeah, I really wish there was more I could do about that. In all honesty there are a ton of recording made in the 60's that sound like this. The deal is that until can get the money to buy some guitar mic I am stuck with this method of over-head mic'ing with a large diaphragm condenser (which is my only pro grade mic) that gives a bit more volume to the vocals than the guitar. I really wish I had sold more albums at RF. It really would have only taken selling 10 to get the money for 1 decent guitar mic.
I find it incredibly unnatural to record separate guitar and vocal tracks for stuff like this :/

What should really be done is this: http://www.posters.ws/images/834130....._harmonica.jpg
You notice the two smaller mic's there pointed at the soundboard and neck joint. This really is *the shit* for doing this style of recording.
It gives you a way to actually set the volume levels in post and still sing and play at the same time.
Sigh...I'll get my dream rig eventually.

Ah, recording equipment make my head spin. So many things to use, so many techniques, so many types of microphones and amps. I don't have a dream rig and I don't take music seriously enough to actually warrant getting in depth (only purchase I ever really needed was FL Studio, which I bought in 2005, and a usb condensor mic in 08 so... I'm good))
So this was all done in one take? Very, very impressive. I can't sing and play guitar at the same time to save me life.
