Do you love chocolate and want a dessert that takes little effort and tastes incredible? Try my no-bake chocolate pie recipe! No oven required, making it perfect for hot days where the thought of turning on the oven fills you with dread, and ready within 2 1/2 hours tops!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crust mix
- 1/2 cup of butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp of brown sugar
- 1 box of Jello chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of whipping cream
- 1 tub of Cool Whip
- 1 tsp of cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp of dark chocolate curls
Recipe:
1. Put the crust mix, butter/margarine and brown sugar in a bowl together and mix first with a wooden spoon and then with your hands until well combined.
2. Press the crust evenly into a pie tin when finished, covering the bottom and sides of the tin, then place it in the fridge to chill. It should chill for at least 1 hour and can sit in the fridge for up to 24 hours in advance.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix, milk and whipping cream with an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
4. Add 1/3 cup of Cool Whip to the pudding and mix for 30 seconds more. It's okay if you try a spoonful of it as a taste test, it's our little secret! *audible wink*
5. Bring the crust out of the fridge and pour the pudding into it with the aid of a spatula or wooden spoon, which you should then use to smooth out the surface of the pudding.
6. Let the pie sit in the fridge for at least another hour.
7. Remove the pie from the fridge and cover the surface with a light coating of Cool Whip, then smooth it out.
8. Decorate with the cocoa powder and chocolate curls.
9. Slice and serve immediately, or put the pie back in the fridge until serving time.
And there you have it, a delicious and charming dessert made easy! Perfect for anyone with a relentless sweet tooth, a great idea for birthdays and holiday get-togethers, and just the thing to welcome in summer with!
