I finally finished it!
I did manage to save over the 500x500 version with the tiny icon, though. Anybody know a way to recover a working file when that happens? XD

You can down size an image all you want but you loose quality. You can't recover the lost quality. Depending on the image format, loss less compression can be used to reduce the size without loosing quality.As long as you didn't save over the original, you should be fine.
It looks neat, but larger image shows pixels.

I tried; usually I have my Working File, and then the JPG that I upload. I accidentally saved over my working file with the resized version.
But I will see what I can do. I didn't save any intermediate versions of this one, alas. It was going so well! ;___;
If I can't get the bigger version back, I will finish one of the other 87 iterations this icon has gone through since you commissioned it and upload that instead. I'm sorry, I feel really idiotic over this. ;__;

*hugs* its okay, stuff like that happens to us all. And this was going well. At least you've given me a good icon.
I'll await your fix. I'm sure it'll be as awsome
And yeah, I couldn't think of a better suggestion than ctrl Z. It is all I could think to do in that situation.

There is a high chance that you won't get it back. NTFS file system, when you delete something, it just removes the file from the table that says where the data is on the drive. This means, when you delete a file, the data is still there and can be recovered using some recovery tools. I don't know what happens when you over write a file, it could be that it saves it to a new location and overwrites the reference to the disk data. If so, it can possibly be recovered if the space on the disk hasn't been written to yet. It is possible that the data was written to the same space and if that is the case, then you've lost your data.
Note, there are probably a lot of add ware and spy where programs that promises to recover files but will infect your computer with spy ware and viruses. You should search for reviews on programs to use. Then you have a better chance at getting something that works. I haven't needed to do this before, so I can't help any further.
