I finally decided what filter to go with for this image. It is just such a dramatic picture, that I wanted to emphasize that further using a High Contrast Red Filter. That filter really gives it an aggressive edge that made me want to retitle it to something a bit more fitting with its new attitude.
I prefer this version of the image to the colored one.
I did try going with a 2/3s rule, both with the colored version and the version here, but it just seemed off that way. This really is a duality picture that shows a contrast of texture and tone, an aspect that was lost when cropped down to 2/3.
