gothicsiamese did this beautiful piece for my lifemate Kodani and myself a couple years ago. Needless to say, he was quite happy to get this alongside the chocolates I bribed him with to acquire additional snuggles on Valentine's Day. ;)

Though in all seriousness, there's no need for a "bribe" with him. If anything, he needs to bribe me! He's such a huge snugglebug. Then again, I'm almost as much of one, so it works out!

I've been with Kodani for a little over 12 years as of this upload, and I love him with all my damned heart. He wasn't always a fennec fox, and there's a brief and interesting story behind that:

When I met him he only considered himself tangentially related to the furry community, reluctant to even call himself a furry and representing himself as a generic Vulpix. He was bitter and skeptical of "how furries can be" and the various social issues our subculture tends to have. Over time, I managed to lighten him up about the community (while he in turn has pulled me into the other direction - a bit, anyway :P). We met somewhere in the middle, and in that middle he found that he liked the furry community a lot more than he thought, and made a fursona for himself about 4 or so years ago - a fennec fox. This was the first drawing of his character, which was part of the sentiment behind this as well. It was amusing trying to subtly ask him details of what his character he had come up with looks like.

He's cynical for a reason, he's had a very hard life. He thinks of me as his protector, and I do everything in my power to be a good one - and above all, to be his mate. It's convenient that those two things go paw in paw.

He's pretty shy, and tends to avoid furry functions and conventions. I've managed to trick him into coming with me to a couple of them though, and lo and behold, he always has a good time!

If you are reading this, babe, I love you very, VERY much. <3 I'm very happy you came up with this fursona for yourself and have been properly "indoctrinated" into the furry community. ;)
