Okay... This was a quick one! Hello there again, I'm back after a really short time with another drawing. I surely love to balance my artistic process between complex and simple drawings (especially with the number of characters and details). So, I was really excited to try this lighting effect that I've seen in a few interesting drawings. I then built the rest of the idea around this sunlight concept and what worked really well with that was this scene.
After doing a while ago a drawing of Cloudchaser I was really excited of doing the same with Flitter, which I find an even cutter pony. So, basically, I put her, the sunlight effect I was mentioning before, and an important focus in the diaper together and this is the final result. Basically, the rest of the added elements appeared almost automatically from that point. I have to say that this one of my favorite artworks until now and I hope you like it as much as I do :3

How interesting. The way you talk about the lighting effect of the sun on Flitter's padded bottom really makes for a cute effect. Especially if she is wearing a pamp that is 'Plastic Backed' instead of cloth. The reflecting light would certainly make for some interesting textures as different parts of the diaper would appear brighter and darker depending on the creases and folds the plastic shell is in at any given time along with the position of the sun itself.

When I was younger, and could still see fairly okay, I loved when I could take one of those foil trading cards into a place where the sun was shining in a window at a perfect angle. You could not only bring out all the rainbow, sparkle, and other effects the foil of the card were capable of, but also cast shiny reflections of it off of walls, the floor, and the ceiling. *Sighs with happy memories* Those were good times. :)

I understand the effect you talk about Yosh, it is really interesting. You just reminded me the four Yu-Gi-Oh cards I bought two years ago just because I always wanted to have those cards since I was a hatching. I don't think they had so much that effect, but well...
I was imagining this diaper more like plastic backed, yes. I'm more familiar those and I surely like how they sound and the texture hehe.
