Whitney and Dobie, Parents to Be...
Okay... so... this piece here is a bit different from what I usually get. This is my first ever fan art piece, featuring a ship I have of Whitney and Dobie from the Animal Crossing series, which I admittedly still play a lot as of this posting. ^^; So... some background to this image:
-On my island in New Horizons, ever since Whitney moved there late in 2020, she and Dobie hang out a lot, that... combined with some of the interesting dialogue between snooty and cranky villagers, I decided to make their pairing "official" last year. Now... the head canon:
Aeonspassed on Twitter has a history of doing some Animal Crossing images, and after their recent sequence featuring the adorable Skye from the same game, I decided I'd approach them to do this wholesome piece, and they really knocked it out of the park. ^^ I'll certainly go to them again when I have the chance for more art, Animal Crossing or my Main Universe. >w>

After an extended period of amorous tension and frustration between Whitney and Dobie, they finally snapped and had a ridiculously passionate night together, and that was all it took for Whitney to become pregnant to their surprise. Canonical dialogue between snooties and crankies in New Horizons heavily imply that snooties have a thing for crankies. >w>
As for Apollo and Whitney in my head canon, they’re amicable exes, and despite a turbulent start, Apollo and Dobie are cordial to each other.

Apologies for necroing this, but yes, I have noticed snooties get along well with crankies.
I sometimes hop on my sister's NH island (don't have a Switch of my own) and eavesdrop on conversations between Fang and Ankha.
I also noticed the general consensus in the fandom is that Dobie is fairly old based on his appearance... I guess Whitney has a thing for silver foxes?
