Everybody seems to have drawn Anubis at least once, so I had to draw him too. I love Egyptian gods and stuff anyywaaay though. :3
So yeah, I'm just sitting here working on this, and I thought I'd scan it before I finished it. Do his legs look too small? :| I've been having an issue with his legs. Ugh. And the coloring/crosshatching will look way better when it's done, I swear. XD I'm not even half done; I still have to crosshatch the rest of the body and whatnot, and I'm going to use some colored pencils to brighten up the marker coloring already on there. Speaking of markers, this is one of the few times I've ever really used them. :O I've used them a few times in the past, but the crappy set of markers I have are dying, so it's hard to get just the right color if half of them are dried up. XD They're really fun to use though; I'm definitely going to buy a nicer set when I get some extra cash.

Awesome job-- I have yet to draw Anubis myself x3 but I like this version that you've drawn. I like that you've made him more modern-looking with the earrings, but still retains is ancient Egyptian splendor.
Hmmm... yeah, I would agree with you that the legs are too small. It looks like you could just go into Photoshop or something, select the whole area under his belt, and scale it all to a bigger size. Does that make sense? o_O Also, make sure the calf is as long the thigh, since it looks a little small for the legs.
I hope that helps in fixing this up ^^;; Otherwise it looks really cool! Can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks! I went and looked at pictures of Anubis, of statues and stuff, but I decided to give it a little of my own flare too, instead of making him look just like the statues. X3
And yes, it did make sense. XD Maybe I'll just redraw him; I don't see how I could erase or fix his legs at this point, unless I used liquid paper or something, and I don't have a tablet to redraw him in Photoshop with. Darn. XD
