You linger under the trees just off the road; in the distance you can see the top of the Mage's Tower. You hear the clank of metal and turn to see a dragonborn walking towards you, his sapphire-blue scales glinting softly in the moonlight. "Good, you've arrived. Then we can get started." He speaks in even and precise tones. "You may call me Patrin, I am a seeker in the service of Candlekeep. Colloquially, we are called 'Book Knights,' a simple but effective moniker. It is for that reason we are here." Patrin points up at the looming structure. "According to my research the Mage's defenses will be at their weakest within the hour. You will handle any physical locks, I will handle the arcane. The inner vault is guarded by a metal golem but fear not, I am well aware of its weakest points and its defenses cannot stop my... particular weaponry." As he speaks you notice a glimmer, completely separate from the moonlight, run down his sword.

"In exchange for your assistance you are entitled to any treasure we find. All I ask is you leave any scrolls or tomes to me. Now, let us proceed." He begins walking away but stops to look over his shoulder. "There is no need for surprise. Other dragons may be content to collect gold and jewels but I seek something far more valuable if perhaps less substantial: knowledge."

Here we have another fantasy anthro commission: Patrin, the Sapphire Dragonborn. He is a Psi Knight hailing from Candlekeep in the Forgotten Realms. As you might expect from someone raised in a giant library, he has an insatiable appetite for lore. Almost as much as me!
