So I recently read that the average litter size of the Arctic Fox is 11, with possible capacity of 22.
I think an ultrasound would have a hard time counting that many, so she would just have to wait to find out. Unless she's sensitive enough within to track individual movements and count them herself.
But if all of the cubs were to start fighting at once... that belly will be moving like nobody's business. And the father definitely won't mind, even if it gets a tad uncomfortable for her!
