Gave him more wolfish features and some varied markings to break up his overall color scheme. Also replace the sword with a mark emblazoned on his chest- I was originally going to give him a scar, but this felt like it might line up better with the "cursed sword" concept a little better.

Oh wow!!! I love the additional fur patterns on his body, those are always a struggle for me to create.
I especially love the chest mark! I never even thought of something like that, but after seeing it in execution it’s kind of like “duh! It’s perfect”.
