Technology available right now could turn it's wielder into a damn effective superhero. But nobody seems to have both the money and the motivation to put such a thing together. I'm waiting for a comix geek to win the lottery or somesuch...

First off, a comix geek wouldn't have any skill to pull it off. It'd have to be someone who was highly trained.

Secondly, are you sure you want that to happen? It actually could be disastrous. It was that exact thing that started the fight between Captain America and Iron Man ; /

Besides, the sword swings both ways....

Huh. You really don't see or hear of autogyros often enough. You CERTAINLY never see rocket-propelled ones, for that matter... I wonder how much forward drag the rotors create compared to plane wings?
