Made myself sad watching furcon dance competitions on twitter.
I'm currently week 4 of 6 of Physical therapy w/ a cortisone shot to one knee (despite both being fucking awful)
Progress is microscopic and isn't going to magically put my kneecaps back in the right spot.
I'm just... so tired of being told that Physical therapy will solve all my problems.
They solve a lot of problems, and are helpful to countless numbers of people and I'm doing it with all the strength and determination I can muster.
But.... Deep down I already know that surgery is my only possible solution.
Ever since the last physical therapy place caused my leg to spasm wildly for a week from overstretching a hamstring that sent me to the ER, my legs have just never been nearly the same.
The doc got mad that I had a breakdown of emotions in his office, so that was fun.
Ps: i have no idea what the doctor actually looked like so i just made a generic dogish one.

Update: as of Monday morning I’ve been informed that my referral will be sent to a seattle doctor as the one in this comic has decided that he could not comfortably do the surgery himself. Which is a relief to say the least

Honestly just the fact that they got mad at you for getting emotional would be enough reason to find a different doctor. You’ve been suffering for years on end, it should be completely understandable that you would be emotional about it. Completely inhuman of them to treat you like that.
