Also to note (since this touches some topics), yes we came up from trauma and the highschool period was a significant point where it started (I mean halfway through it was already Vix and DF talking to each other because of...*handwaves* reasons, remember those journal entries?) but there's a lot more to it like the constant loneliness, fantasy escapes and heavy trans masking while being outed as trans before knowing it.
