Have you ever heard of Foster's Rule? No, this rule has nothing to do with the Australian lager (which I believe the Germans refer to as Pißwasser), this is in fact an evolutionary biological term for animals which grow or shrink over thousands of years, depending on their environment. On the island of Malta, for example, both space and resources became scarce as sea levels rose in the Mediterranean, which led to animals we know today shrinking in size, resulting in miniature deer, wolves, foxes, elephants, and beahs!
Here’s presenting to you this beautiful piece by
Gishkishenh entitled “The Bears of Malta”, in which Dai somehow discovers time travel and falls back to the dawn of civilisation, in which a society of mini anthro bears is rather startled by the appearance of a relatively massive Shep, wearing very weird clothes. A couple of curious cubs approach the stranger, while a Mama burr and her youngest look on from afar.
Also, check out digitigrade, shoeless Dai! ^__^
