Acantha was born to a long lineage of blade masters in her home village along the coast, but she had been fated to be a temple guardian. She had no desire to spend her life confined to the temple grounds, forever trapped within a single building. When the rare visit by outside trade ships happened, she saw her chance! She made preparations, and when the ships left the harbor she surprised her fellow islanders when she leapt from the pier into the water and was fished out by the swiftly departing ships. Acantha's adventure had begun!
