Dylend is one of the original spellfluxed characters I had, and pre-dated it before I made it a proper thing. He was always ex-human in his setup. A decent while ago I decided he was one of the inciting figures for the creation of the Manatear, being a defense wizard that was fighting back and trying to protect his home. Due to the (likely correct) impression of the defenders realizing they were losing and that the baddies were going to do bad things with the nexus of ley lines, they pulled out the MAD. Mutually assured destruction.

Dylend after doing his part for the scenario, after doing all he could to fight back and enable as many people to escape as possible, put himself into stasis.

No one on defense expected the manatear to form in the wake of the battle. Dylend expected to wake to the ruins of his home, but not this. He hasn't been able to decide if it's better or worse than it could have been. He has a bit of survivors guilt over it, he has at least two "I am allowed to angst" tokens.
