Not sure if it's intentional, but the description reminded me of Brother to Dragons, Companion to Owls, which is a fantastic read. :D
I think it's really cool how this managed to turn out both crisp and soft at the same time-- the edges of the bones are really sharp, but the shading on things like the wolf's fur and the pot on the desk is really subtle. It's a nice contrast of elements. Having a darker background would have really pushed the visual impact of the image further, but it's a really fun to look at scene as it is, and the posters just make it better.
