They say "Cthulhu fhtagn", but he dreams no more now that Liane has awakened him. They told her not to go there! She was told this would happen, but who believes the natives and their silly superstitions? Well, she does now!! Run Liane, run!!!

Yeah, I think somebody better start running just as hard and as fast as her feet can carry her! I'd say Cthulhu looks pissed off, but is he ever anything but? Though, around here, I'd be more worried about lame tentacle rape jokes than angry Elder Gods.
This is a beautifully done piece. Foxene always puts so much into her backgrounds, and it's wonderful how well she was able to evoke not only the jungle but Cthulhu's ruined temple in such a relatively tiny space. I really like the Indiana Jones flavor of Liane's outfit, which is helped along quite a bit by the coiled whip she's carrying. Though if I may say so, Harrison Ford never looked half as good as she does! It's actually quite an effective piece, too. Cthulhu is one of those bits of pop culture that has been kind of done to death, but this actually makes him seem pretty damned frightening again. You really have to feel worried about whether Liane is going to make her escape, or whether she's going to be turned into a snack. Or whatever he's supposed to do with his victims. My library's one book of Lovecraft stories has been out for "cleaning" for years now, so I've never had the chance to read it. I, for one, hope she gets away. She's much too cute to get slurped.

Tentacles are fine, in their place and in moderation. I enjoy the odd tentacle picture, myself. But even a good thing can get kind of old when people beat it into the ground. I've just seen one too many cracks on otherwise perfectly innocent pictures, is all. For what it's worth, I hadn't even seen your comment before I posted mine, so it wasn't aimed at you or anything like that.
Awe why thank you :D I wish I had a better scanner though...it wouldnt have killed the pic as much as it did. I don't know if Liane told you but it was scanned in 2 pieces and meshed together in photoshop. I Hope when they get the piece they have a better way to post it :C
HAH and I kind of figured that there would be those crazy tentacle jokes lol the rule 34...you just cant escape it no matter how hard you try lol
as far as Cthulhu being over done I didn't even know lol I sure as hell dont read enough nor would I even know where to look but like everyone else that's looking at the pic I'm also thinking "RUN LIANE RUN!!!!!!"

No, I didn't know that. It looks pretty good for having been meshed together. I certainly couldn't tell that it had been. It is a pity about the scanner. Your art is so beautiful its a shame that your equipment kind of messes it up a bit. But other than a little bit of a blur over Liane, I don't think it's that noticeable, either. As for Cthuhlu, he's probably more popular with the gaming crowd, like the people I used to hang out with. They were all big into AD&D and things like that (as was I, I admit), and Cthulhu jokes were rampant. It doesn't help that Wizards of the Coast always stole every bit of relevant pop culture they could find, either. But I wasn't complaining! I'm actually kind of glad to see a picture that makes him frightening again.
I'm going to try taking a picture of it and see if it works any better. I've had real good luck doing it before, so it might. But there really isn't anything wrong with this one that I can see anyway. Maybe when I see the original.....
Not being part of the gaming community, I never have heard the Cthulhu jokes and whatever else goes on about him. So I've actually seen very little about him since I was a kid and read all the HP Lovecraft I could lay hands on.

I'm glad you noticed the whip. We put that in for just that reason. I was even thinking of putting a little thing in the comments like....'tentacles.....I HATE tentacles'...for a little more effect but decided not to at the last minute. I don't mind the tentacle jokes. To me they're one of the ones that doesn't get stale. Just my personal view.
This doesn't look like that big a picture but it's on some oversize stock. Foxene must have gone through a lot of pencils to finish this puppy! =p I can never say enough for her work, I'm not that good with words like you are. But I think the number of pictures I have that she's done for me and the ones to come testify to how much I love it! =3
And Liane get slurped by old tentacle face? Not in THIS episode anyway! LOL

Well, when I saw the way she was dressed I just kind of expected her to have one, and there it was. I think maybe I watched Temple of Doom one too many times when I was a kid! Though I think it has a nice subtlety to it, too. The reference is fun, but it's kind of nice that Liane gets to stand on her own bravery, or recklessness as the case may be, instead of being made too much an Indiana Jones clone. As for the tentacle jokes, I don't mind them from time to time. I have a bit of a secret fondness for them, actually. But I've been seeing a lot of them around lately. Though actually I wasn't meaning to complain, just kind of jabbing at the fandom a bit. *Grins* And yeah, I think it's plain enough that you like her work, just from browsing your gallery. I don't think you need to live up to my endless babble just to show that!
I'm glad she'll get away safely, too. It's much more fun when the bold explorer makes it back home in one piece.

*chuckles* anytime.. And if nothing else helps, I'll grab the good ol' Mjöllnir and beat the shit out of him myself.. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3976505/
Thanks...
As for the picture being impressive, well.. Bears are among the most dangerous predators on the land - If one of those happens to wield the powers of one of the mightiest Aesir and also wields his weapon , causing him to have the power of raging thunderstorms at his beck and call, this facts render him into a rather terrifying opponent - even for other gods.
This in turn means that Cthulhu does have quite a fight ahead of him if he dares to face me.

Am I? Personally i would not consider me to be on one side or another. I am guided only by my conscience of what is right or wrong. I do not rely on others unless i have to - and even then i do so reluctantly. I have been disappointed way too often. Once i decided to set myself to a matter i see it through - no matter the odds. In lack of something good i guess this will do.
Don't look back at him, jut run! The mere sight of Cthulhu has a maddening effect, that can happen after the encounteris over too. Poor bunny would have nightnmare and probobly need some nice experiences to erase the Great Evil One's effect on Her mind...Or She just needs a good dommy to make Her completly forget about Cthulhu and focus on the dommy in front of Her.
Cthulhu is mighty hard to put out of your mind once he creeps in I'm told. I don't think anything less than a good domming would do the trick for poor Liane. I don't suppose you know where she could find a dommy willing to help her out, do you? I'm sure she'd be very grateful for the assistance!!
