Slowly fleshing out an actual world for Laika to run around in and decided she needed some kind of companion along the way, and who better than a ray gun? Playing around with the design of the gun a bit, I noticed it looked kind of like a robot from the top, so I'm playing up that angle now.

She ends up naming him Raymond and talks to him all the time. Most of these kind of show the first time she actually shoots the gun.
