This piece is my tribute to a bunch of fan designs for evolved forms of the Generation 9 starters. Going from right to left, we have:
- Suchili, a concept by Jack from Subjectively. Always on the hunt for spice.
- Calidrilo, originally drawn by @tomototortom. A spiky fellow.
- Picolebre, created by fakemon veteran BROMOJUMBO. Inspired by the legend of El Cuelebre.
- An unnamed design by @ReomaArt. Like Suchili, this one is themed after ghost peppers.
- Calorotitan, the absolute unit imagined by kaiju cultivator Scroogooch. A manly crier.
-An unnamed design by @pokejayjay. I'm not sure what the concept is supposed to be, but check out that hair!
Working to reinforce the theming of a kid's imagination, allowed this piece to manifest as more than just six-seven character drawings one image. In addition to the wacky color paletting, I played with the monsters' designs to exaggerate their unique traits, or to increase their semblance to the lil dude in the corner, since they're supposed to be the same character.
