To help me train the skill of drawing a figure from a basic stick figure skeleton I'm doing one sketch every day.
The process has changed a bit from that used in the Anatomy project.
For this project I start with a photo reference like I did in the Anatomy project, but on a new layer over the photo I draw a basic stick figure skeleton.
Then I hide the photo layer, leaving only the skeleton.
In a new image I re-draw the skeleton on one layer, and then draw the complete figure on another layer.
For this project I have changed the rules a little:
As before, it has to be done in less than 1 hour, I can only use the one brush (Though I can choose which brush before I start), and I can only use black.
However, I am allowing myself to erase.
As usual, I'm drawing snowleoaprd ladies.
I'm actually giving them tails this time though!
This one took 24 minutes.
Once again I did it without any photo reference. I think it's been 10 in a row now since I last used a photo reference.
I've been keen to try doing a bending over pose for quite a while now.
A bit of a challenge for myself. Didn't come out perfectly, but I still feel okay about it.
Tried something a bit different with the feet this time, just to see how it would go.
