I put everything on to a tray, write a note with my crayons and pick a flower from the vase on the counter. I carefully walk back to mommy's room trying not to spill the splashing orange.

I get to the side of her bed as she is still under her sheets.

"Mommy? I...I brought you breakfast."

She pulls the covers from over her head and looks at me with a smile.

Mom: "Oh my, you did this all by yourself?"

I nod my head and hold it up higher

Mom: "Well lets see what we got."

She sits up and takes the tray, reads the note well sniffing the flower then takes a bite of the bread with jelly.

Mom: "Very yummy, Thank you so much hunny, your such a big boy and you made me feel much better."

I climb up in her bed and lay next to her as she eats. She kisses my forehead and now I feel so proud that I made my mommy feel better.
