Truth be told... From the perspective of an economic priority, maybe petitioning Ubirb to include, and registering myself as available for, the "Be Food" option wasn't such a hot idea. Since registering with the app, I haven't had that many takers.
It might not have anything to do with the "Be Food" option. It could be because most of the humans in the Felar region live on one of two small, densely populated islands where most places you may want to go can be reached on foot. Maybe it's because there are so many birds in Felar -- domestic and independent alike -- that the supply greatly exceeds the demand. Or maybe it's because most Pokemon trainers are purists who would much rather fly on (and bond with) their own personal flying types anyway.
But I'm fairly certain opening myself up for that option did decrease my chances of getting contacted. Ariel thinks it's because the algorithm prioritizes the single-function flyers first -- that they keep us "Swiss Army Birbs" in reserve so they won't suddenly have a backlog of "Be Ridden" orders because all of their certified BIRB-lesque providers (laughs at all the booing) are out delivering pizzas or whatever. But at any rate, I've still got quite a bit of free time during my official working hours.
Which is fine by me. Money is no real issue -- I only signed up with the app so nobody would ask how it is that a wild* pelipper is able to support financially two human children.
And from an eco-NOM-ic perspective (more booing, more laughing), I've got a freakin' monopoly!
My next petition will be to offer frequent user perks, for which Dylan here will have already qualified for the maximum. Sure, she usually pays me with fast food takeout, which I always take home for the humans since it could possibly compromise my endo-capacity (since I've discovered using Roost can "cure hunger damage", I actually don't eat very much at all), but I don't mind. I actually have learned to like going to P.F. Chang's. Before, I couldn't get anywhere within a hundred yards of any place that served any kind of poultry without a bunch of humans (usually the sweaty, sunburned and heavily tattooed variety) telling me "Ooh, watch out birdy, you're on the menu" (because they all think they're the only ones who ever made that joke). But they keep their mouths shut when they see that a fully grown human could fit inside mine. ^_^
I admit I may even be getting attached to her, and it's probably inevitable that, one day, I'll offer her a V.I.P. (Very Irresistible Prey) trip to the Distortion Lab to meet Deva and co., who I'm sure will want to know that there are now living things besides just humans and Pokemon on my side of the D.W.
Inevitably... But not right now. Right now, I need to convince all those stoopid hyoomans** that the freakishly huge pelipper's services are in high demand.

*Tera is only "wild" in the sense that he has no trainer and is otherwise a predominantly urban-dwelling bird. He is registered to a PokeBall and any attempt to catch him will result in an automatic rejection.
**Tera has nothing against humans. Only the stupid ones.

I'm sure Dylan would love to meet Deva. The hoomans aren't too nice to Dylan eother ao that's probably why she gets along with pokemon more in the first place. Too many people trying to 'prabk' me by yanking on my ears or tails. "Oh yeah their real. Oops." And of course parents scared I'm going to 'corrupt' their kids into becoming furries. Like no stoopid human, I care more about being birb food than whatever your kid does. XD
