Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
---
This was both a fun and exceedingly difficult chapter to write. I always try to keep my story in line with canon wherever possible, so I wanted to make sure that the palace was described accurately. So that basically involved going through Legends: Darkstalker, Talons of Power, and Darkness of Dragons many, many times, to the point of marking chapters with tabs. Then I just took the descriptions from the book and tried to expand on them. That part was really fun, as it allowed me to have the freedom to be creative.
Also, is the shadow scene too on the nose? Maybe. Do I care? No, because that was just too much for me to resist. I am but mortal, and I too may sometimes give in to temptation. Plus that's going to be super fun to draw at some point.
No critique desired. Please respect that.
