Yeah, we got it as a free gift when we got our Windows 98 computer, lost The NOD disc when moving North from down south, unfortunately. :/ Luckily, I found a NO-CD freeware client from Communications Center, which also included Firestorm! =3
The games, I mean: Themes came also free with the game. ;3
Fun Fact: Did you know that Cabal is a corrupted version of captured EVA software? ;3

Understandable, I'mm more of a Tiberian Sun person myself.
Red Alert is connected to the Tiberium Wars via retconning, the original story was supposed to have Brotherhood of NOD take over no matter what, but down an alternate route via Allied Nations winng, it creates a time paradox wher Soviets winning, I thiink.

Yup, but retcon is applied for Tiberium Universe, meaning unless someone or you plan on playing Tiberium Wars (I can recommend, nice & challenging and even mods for it too! So if you ever feel like playing,) download the Client version from Communications Center website, because those GDI & NOD CD's have product ID keys you need, which you can always use an online generator for those CD's or iso (disc files) to play those games, just keep in mind, C&C TS+Firestorm will always need the latest version of DDrawCnCNet to play properly online: It's an Online Mod since TS is now considered freeware, but don't worry: Westwood long abandoned EA games long ago, so EA isn't getting any money off of this, and neither is Petroglyph Studios, formerly known as Westwood. Luckily, my copy came in Free with a copy of Windows 98 when my deceased father got it. So, we got lucky: If I had money, I'd support them in a Heartbeat! Their Remastered Collection is out now on Steam! Hence why, unless I can afford it, always go with older versions: Gotta build up that community, after all. Plus, some people love old games: I just so happen to be one of those. ;3
Yeah, but the old CD games came with an older version of CnCNet, which Communications Center has an updated version for. Plus, it should have some mods that make the Installed Version on your PC work without CD's and make them playable: The latest client also has a lot of custom colors you can use for GDI & NOD as well safely, by basically opening up a toolkit that lets you edit a few things of the game by opening up said program without needing to play the game at all to open it: It's a NO-CD patch that lets you modify your game. Plus, installing mods is perfectly legal, since it's now considered freeware. ;3
You can find other stuff in Mod db too, I think: But results are limited on what you may find. Plus, if you reach out to the modders, they'll likely help modify the game. But depending on the limitations, one small adjustment too big, and the whole game won't work: You gotta know how much to mod, the limitations of that mod, and finally, what the game will allow within it's parameters as well. So, it's important to know what mods you wanna install, just in the right order. Most mods will have you follow install directions that'll let the original client or game run normally after installation. Something I like doing: Having the current installer with me on my computer on it at all times, until a newer update comes out: Any bugs are usually fixed with the next client installer, and you can always download a previous version, provided that it won't be perfect, but should run nicely and smoothly, should the current client have any bugs: If a patch doesn't install on a newer version with it, it likely means that your current client already has it installed: Multiple mods can be installed, but too many of the same thing might gum up the game with unneeded info. I learned my mistake the hard way, allowing 2 of the same file to exist. Usually, an overwrite applies the data; Worst Case Scenario, it stops it from playing, and you gotta reinstall it.
I always read it as Tiberian Sun, with an "ian", not an "ium": Tiberian refers to a collective, I think; While Tiberium refers to The Crystal grown on the Tiber River where it was discovered. I guess "ian" refers to alian sun, like how the C&C3 games refer to future timelines of C&C 3, depending on which ones you get? IDK, never played C&C3, just Tiberian Sun + Firestorm.

IDK about OUN... Austria, however is allies with GDI in Allied Nations & The Soviets through NOD, from what I inferred. I even have a favorite of a furry poster girl of Austria, with a Blue Camo Jet: And I love Blue Camo! X3 Camo is so much my favorite design, I have a ripoff PS4 controller just to play 2-player in 2-player games or achievements on PS4! X3
Oh... You meant "announced". Yeah, C&C TS+FS was a rushed, forced game pushed by EA onto current Westwood at the time. EA was wanting a new game, since C&C1 aka Tiberium Dawn got announced multiplatform, such as not only PC and Mac (I think, don't quote me on that.), but also PS1 & N64 at the time, and it was widely successful, so I heard. But EA for some reason or another at the time (I think, don't quote me) got exclusivity deals for PC, as well as it selling best on, so EA pushed on it, wanting another game for people to play. Westwood was rushed, and many features got scrapped, many modders have found in the files and even remodeled or remade as individual mods and so on. And thus, Tiberian Sun came out after Red Alert 1, retconning Red Alert via Tiberium Dawn at the time, before RA2+YR came out. Never played YR nor RA2 due to A, not owning it, B, couldn't buy it at the time, and C, if a freeware version ever gets released without anti-piracy saying "lol no *nukes your base* " comes out, I'd pick that up in a heartbeat, considering I can play it with no worries! However, RA2, does not have a remaster...yet. Makes me wonder if a freeware version, should it exist and erase anti-piracy measures, will be available for me to play without worry, Commander.
Thus, mods were made for C&C games, should they find unique or neat things.
Alas, if I find such version, I will let you know, Comrade.
