Meh. Democrats are losing this time... and really its their own fault too for being too afraid to live up to their promises... As long as they dont lose to any of the Sashet de the people, i can live with it...
YES WE CAN! fix health care! We will create a public option that will force the private companies to compete with our prices and thus lower their rates!..what.. the republicans who we dont even need in order to pass this bill dont want that? crap, we better leave it out then... no no, keep in the part that mandates everyone HAS to have health care rather they want it or not, just the part that makes it affordable, that will be fine..
Worst thing is, fugging democrats will assume the reason they lost the election is because they were not conservative enough, when its actually cause they are a bunch of chickens >.<.
This is what happens every time the republicans lose power. They are like a bunch of toddlers that need to be bent over, spanked, and sent to the corner. They cant be in charge, they dont want to play the game and just keep it from being fun for anyone else by screaming no to everything. Democrats want to spend all their time pandering to infants, fine, they just shouldn't be surprised they are losing all their control. And no, my problem isnt with conservatives or liberals..its with these two groups of idiots..three if you consider Satchet de The.. its like watching a hydra rolling around trying to eat its self while everyone else gets crushed in the melee...
(sorry for ranting.)

nah that's cool. But the Republicans are playing the game, I don't think people realise we voted for both sides, or is that not how your system works? The Republicans aren't supposed to roll over, they are supposed to continue supporting the people who elected them, which includes telling the Democrats what they think about their policies. Then the Democracts have to either A. convince the opposing side that the policy is good, B. Agree to some concessions for the policies so they can get through with both sides generally happy, or C. If they have a majority, just send it through anyway.
We don't elect a dictator (unless we choose to elect a side with an overwhelming majority). We elect every single person in the house. The President is the person we believe the most confident to represent the country, but he hardly has anything to do with any of the policies except to show-case them to the people and to make administrative decisions (yes/no man) based on the advice given to him and his ministers (very rarely do politicans do their own research, but simply rely on the research of their advisors or 'experts' who present them with reports).
The one thing I hate is when a party gets elected without a majority, and governs as if they have the right to tell everyone what to do, then blame others when it comes flying back in their face.

But that is the thing. During the last election we elected democrats who were running on this policy of change "We are going to get buisness out of government, we are going to fix health care. We are going to do something about these companies who are further obliterating the job market by sending Union jobs to other countries, by which I mean, fine. If you want to send jobs over seas, do so. It is a free market. But expect to lose every tax cut you are currently receiving. Why? Because not only are you destroying the Union job market by removing jobs from it, those tax cuts are meant to stimulate you to spend on info-structure in this country, it has been tracked and they have found that most of the tax cuts these corporations receive are being spent on building up infostructure in other countries to increase their overseas profits. This is great for world economy.. But is not aiding the recession AT ALL.
And so democrats got elected, overwhelmingly, into office on that stance that they would change things... and now they are shocked that nobody is voting for them when they didn't.
Obama swore he would get us out of the middle east, which to his credit, he did finally manage to reduce our numbers in iraq to simply a policing force... But here is the thing. Unless we plan to stay till the end of time, no matter what happens, both Afghanistan and Iraq will eventually fall under the regime of another dictator or the taliban, because we have to leave eventually, and when we do, someone will come in, kill everyone, and take over, or counterwise, the people we leave in charge will have to deal with anyone who tries to overthrow them by execution, which will lead to... a totalitarian regime.. again.. We cannot fix the middle east. If they want to nuke each other into the stone age, let them, i doubt any of the survivors would really notice the difference. He also swore he would overturn DNDT. And when actually given the perfect opportunity when a judge ruled it unconstitutional, he fought it. "OH NO!" the military cried "WE CANNOT ALLOW OPENLY GAY SOLDIERS TO SERVE NOW! NOT WHILE WE ARE AT WAR WITH THE MIDDLE EAST!! IT WOULD ENDANGER SOLDIERS LIVES!"...Oh god. Oh god the horror. I cannot even imagine the terror of being a soldier at war with people who want to kill you just because of a disagreement in philosophies...I'm sure we have learned out lesson, from this date forth we shall only drop bombs on allies and people who agree with our way of life.
As for serving your voters. That concept is bullshit and needs to die a horrible painful and lingering death. I heard it a lot during the Bush regime.. "Responsibility to our voters".. there are people in this country besides the ones who voted for you and as an elected FEDERAL official, your responsibility is to the people of the Union. Conservatives want everyone to live by their law, and don't get me started on religious conservatives (the american taliban) and Sachet de The (only through idiocy does one reach enlightenment... of course, being idiots they wouldn't know enlightenment if it bit them in the ass). Fine. Fence off Utah and send every person who believes his own personal moral beliefs should be law and wants to bind everyone else to them and provide them with guns, there wont be a single person left alive after a year. Look at what the democrats were doing.
"Fix health care, not socialize it. We will just basically create a state run health care, similar to the ones already in service for the elderly and veterans. The difference of course is that its customers will have to pay for it, thus it is funded not by tax dollars but by monthly payments. Because it is not for profit, we can offer similar levels of service, though, of course, not exactly the same quality of care, for much lower rates. By doing this the private insurers will have to compete with the private funded but state run health care by lowering their rates or providing more coverage." To which the republicans screamed "SOCIALIZED MEDICINE! DEATH PANELS! BIG SPENDING!"
Tax cuts "It is ridiculous to continue allowing the top 10% of the country to continue paying the lowest per dollar earned percentage of taxes. It is insane. The people who need the tax cuts the worst are the people in the middle class. The bottom class pay nearly nothing in taxes because they own little to no property, and earn very little money, the top class pays a very low percentage of taxes because they can afford lawyers to scrutinize the laws looking for loop holes and hide money in off shore accounts,. And giving tax cuts to people who send jobs over seas is ludicrous. The top bracket needs to pay more, it is time to give the middle class a break." To which republicans scream "SOCIALISM! REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH! CLASS WARFARE!" and let us not forget "SMALL BUISNESS OWNERS ARE PART OF THE TOP 2%!!" the top two percent is made up of people like the Waltons, Trump, Gates, Jobs, dont even try to feed me that the corner hardware store owner is raking in the same level of dough as the top bracket.
Are Libs big spenders? Yes. They spend money on science, on schools, on keeping roads paved, on keeping cities clean.... Are Cons big spenders? Yes. They spend money on...well... killing brown people, and giving corporations tax cuts (and yes, financially speaking, an elective lack of income, ie, taxes, is a loss, the same as any other expense. I work night audit at a hotel, handling numbers. We recently had about half the hotel out of order because its a slow time of year and they wanted to change the tiles. Really they were only out of order for a day or two.. you dont really see a big change at first, everything still ads up for the first night.. then the second night... then the third night, your room average rate (or, in tax terms, average total paid per tax payer) stays the same, plus or minus a few dollars, as its been all week, but your total revenue tanks just completely out of nowhere. I even called up the owner because i couldn't believe the numbers could be that bad)
*DEEEP BREATH*...*sigh* now. You may find it hard to believe, i do not disagree with conservatives about everything... in fact, there is a lot i have absolutely no problem with.. but their behavior of "its my way or nothing" is just unacceptable. Democrats spent the last 2 years trying to work with people who don't WANT to be bipartisan, not because they had to, but because they were trying to make the machine work better, and out of values of their opponents views. When is the last time a republican tried to find a common ground with a democrat? The answer? they dont, unless they have to.

Dude, this is what your own journal is for. This is a trollan imaeg, not an invitation for a lecture.
See that button, the one that lets you hide a comment? Yeah, maybe you should click that.
