A certain dragon by the name of Ceniza took a happy interest in a cougar, but gosh Tir was just such a detestable mammal no no no, that wouldn't do for a properly loved servant for such a noble and powerful dragon. Especially if she wished to possess him on occasion as an avatar, envoy, or just to make the cute thing squirm at their influence! So a compromise was made, perhaps a bit at the feline's disapproval, but lowly mammals complaints mean little, especially with the generosity of superior reptiles. A cute little kobold with those markings shifted a bit towards a more preferred color was made, one so eagerly loyal to the dragon he now served, what a lucky little thing, better keep serving well to not have his soul consumed, but I'm sure Ceniza would never do that to their little cute kobold...right?
