Admittedly a lot of this chapter is mostly filler. But it is also necessary to get her to that point where she will start training these people far more regularly. Mostly in that I need to start pushing towards her allowing people to stay there so that we can start the almost Xavier-esk institute as well as get her into the mindset that she may need them to be able to defend themselves. As for the exercise, it can be a bit of a drug. If you're used to working out every single day and then go a few days not working out, you can get a bit antsy.

Anyway, Character Spotlight: Mark Tanner: Power level Earth (Gem). Abilities: Super Strength and Super Durability. Effectively his muscles work on the order of 1000 times normal efficiency. Meaning he can lift an object weighing a ton as easily as someone lifting a 2 pound weight. Mark is 19 years old, 6'2" Caucasian and 235 pounds. Mark has parents, but he might as well not have parents for how much they want him around. Because of how little control he had his parents pretty much abandoned him. His parents didn't want him. Schools didn't want him. And so he was mostly left to fend for himself. In order to feed and clothe himself he ended up getting picked up by the local gang, who saw a use for his abilities. He probably would have just fallen into the role of the gangster thug if it wasn't for Christopher and then later on Amber and her "army"
