I made this as I dedicate a lot of my time playing VRChat on a game called Laserdome and it was made by xCirrex (Twitter). The laser tag gun was also given by xCirrex and it is available on their Discord server and it is called the Zapper.
I made this on Blender and the model being made by
nicoreda on Gumroad.
I really love how it turned out and, I know the scene is wacky, but it still looks beautiful with the rain as well.
If you want to know what I did:
Made two planes with a road texture (one for road texture and the other for a particle system -later-).
Made building and texturing neon colours with it. (very beautiful with the reflections).
Made an icosphere and used proportional editing under edit mode, to drag up a vertices to make it look like a rain drop.
Made a particle system on one of the planes (drag it up high enough) and attach the icosphere mesh to the reneder of the particle system.
Imported the Kobodal and the Zapper gun from Laserdome
Positioned the model with the Zapper in the hands.
Made a long, thin cylinder mesh for the laser, making sure the position is inlign with the Zapper.
Set the emission for the cylinder to make it red and strength at 60.
Under Compositing, make sure you tick Use Nodes. Attach Glare to the image layer (so you can add bloom) and attach a Viewer to the Glare, so you can see the image.
Render it.
Under Rendering select viewer node, rather than Render Results and you should be able to save the render at Image, then save as.
It is very simple detailing, but I hope it would help anyone who wants to learn too. :)
