Spook is Miles’ nephew and shares his uncle’s love of books. A ridiculously skinny Annoyance, he lives in one of the coastal villages along the West Beach. Spook’s nickname comes from the dark circles around his eyes, a characteristic shared by his fellow haunters. Spook is part of the Ghouls and, like the rest of the haunters, hasn’t slept in years. He is glad to explain to his friends that learning to go without sleep is what allows a Ghoul to discover their own personal “Fear”. Spook often comes across as strange and likes to take advantage of this fact. He loves to mess with other Landingites.
He stays in the coastal areas because he enjoys the peacefulness of the beach and because the villagers are very easy to haunt.
