I asked a friend for advice on a cute memorable moment of childhood for a commission, and she told me about how she has a pic of her son in his daddy's fireman hat and boots and a diaper, so....since Snuggems' Daddy, Tawnos, is a DM...here he is, with his hat and dice and those are probably gold-foil chocolate coins spilling out of that bag. Yum! Snugs is younger than Scamper, so he isn't up to the dice rolls and crayon maps, and my that plush d4 is fun to nomm on! Also, kudos for not giving him paw pads on his feet! Another commission from FurFright 2010 that I'm very pleased with.

*giggles an wiggles his toes and coos happily* Uh huh I love this pic! It reminds me of the "Easy" difficulty level setting graphic from Jazz Jackrabbit 1, an old PC-DOS shareware game by Epic MegaGames. Jazz has a very similar babyish look in his eyes there, and the pose is very similar. However, he's green, which isn't as cute ^^
I adore this one ;) Bushycat is working on one of Scamper loving on his blankie too and from the sketch I saw its gonna be an awwwwwww too, big diaperbutt in the air I think *giggle*
Also, I think I'm going to look through some of the pieces I've had done as sketches that would look good as finished pieces and approach artists about having them inked or perhaps colored. I've gotten a response from one artist that was very positive (not to mention reasonable) so there will be some improvements instead of new ideas, and probably before next FurFright!
JenKiwi's also working on one for Snugs that should be positively adorable but that one's hush-hush til I see it :)
I do have one other fursona/other-self that Im having difficulty envisioning whom to approach for the commission, and it will be very dark and not a very happy pic at all. Perhaps with some flickers of light but mostly...the environment needs to follow the character concept. My first choice of artist passed on last year sadly, so I need to find someone else that can evoke what I'm trying to come up with in my head. And it's not something that a sketch will suffice, it will be a full color commission with detailed background if possible and by someone that is very, very good, yet won't take delight in creating the image...if that makes any sense. Someone who won't take sadistic enjoyment seeing what that fursona will look like and what will be shown. Nothing sexual or directly abusive or nasty. The artist will need to feel inspired I guess, and not just "ah yes, details, money please, scribble scribble, here you go, ka-ching, next!"
A difficult proposition indeed. And probably not involving diapers, unless its a 2-part sketch where part 2 is the comforting.
